It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I address you today in the wake ofthe passing of our beloved Pope Francis. His departure marks the end of an era filledwith compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the teachings of Christ.
Pope Francis was a shepherd to us all, guiding the Church with a gentle spirit and afierce commitment to justice, peace, and the dignity of every human being. Hisemphasis on mercy and inclusivity transformed countless lives and inspired a renewedsense of hope within the global community. Through his actions and words, hereminded us of the importance of caring for the marginalized and standing up for thevoiceless.
As we grieve the loss of our Holy Father, let us also celebrate his remarkable life andextraordinary contributions. His legacy will continue to illuminate our path as we striveto embody the values he championed. In this time of mourning, I urge all the faithful tocome together in prayer, reflecting on the profound impact Pope Francis has had onour lives and the Church.

A Memorial Mass of the Dead for Pope Francis will be celebrated today, Monday, April 21,2025, at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, Santa Fe. All are invited to attend.
