COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS UPDATE-OCTOBER 23, 2020
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Missions
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with great sadness to inform you that due to a spike in COVID-19 cases statewide and an increase in the number of cases in our parish community, the celebration of Mass in person is immediately suspended until further notice. This is in accordance with the updated directives issued by Archbishop John Wester. The dispensation to refrain from Sunday Mass continues until further notice. These restrictions affect Mass, funerals, weddings, baptisms, and other church services. In addition, the office will suspend appointments and remain closed until further notice.
Please continue to pray for our community, for our brothers and sisters who are sick, those who have died because of COVID-19, and an end to this pandemic. You are encouraged to attend livestream daily and Sunday Mass on Facebook or YouTube. You can listen to Mass on Immaculate Heart Radio 98.9 or you can watch Sunday Mass at 6:30am on TV KASY My 50TV; KRQE TV 13:2, KBIM TV 10.2 and KREZ TV 6.2. Since we cannot receive the Holy Eucharist, here is the Act of Spiritual communion prayer:
My Jesus, I believe that you are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things. I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive you Sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart, as though you have already come. I embrace you and unite myself entirely to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
Thank you for you prayers and understanding. Any and all updates or changes will be provided through Facebook and our website at www.olgpb.org. The emergency number remains available: 505.382.6819. Email: OLOG_penablanca57@archdiosf.org. Please share this information with your loved ones and neighbors.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
